It is a delight for my wife and I to watch the hummingbirds gathering nectar from the flowers in our backyard garden. They are so small, so fragile, so fast, and so beautiful. In the below video, you will see that they are even more magnificent than you could have ever imagined. A special camera was positioned to film the hummingbirds with the sun behind them, shining through their wings. The film was then slowed down to 1/60th speed of the live action. The result is six minutes of pure wonder. At the end of the video are several Bible verses that give glory to God, the Creator of the natural wonders all around us.

We thank you for our senses by which we can see the splendor of the morning, hear the jubilant songs of love, and smell the breath of the springtime. Grant us, we pray, a heart wide open to all this joy and beauty.
