My wife does not like spiders. In fact, she is so against spiders, that she does not even allow them in our house. Whenever she sees a cobweb, she whisks it away with her extendable ceiling duster. But what she does not realize is that every time she removes a spider’s web, she is destroying a structural engineering wonder that is more spectacular than the Golden Gate Bridge, manufactured with materials more sophisticated than anything ever devised by the chemical engineers at 3M.
I always knew spider webs were interesting, but I had no idea just how amazing they are until I watched an eight-minute video last week. Someone told me about “The John 10:10 Project,” and when I went to their website I found this video:

Wow. All of that miraculous design, precision, and instinct — for a spider! What an awesome God we have!
This is just one of over 200 videos produced by “The John 10:10 Project.” I only recently heard about these videos, but I know I will be watching all 200. The five I have already sampled are well done and wonderful. There are many videos about the wonders of creation, like the one you just viewed on spiders. There are also other categories, such as: inspiration and devotion, the power of prayer, facing evil and suffering, evidence for faith, and many more. This is a great website. We all need to grow in our faith and knowledge and understanding of God. The John 10:10 Project will help you do that. Begin watching them today!

Here is one more brief sample:
***********************************
Genesis 1:31a — And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.
Psalm 104:24 — How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.
Psalm 139:14 — I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made (and so are spiders and hummingbirds); your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Romans 1:20 — For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Colossians 1:16 — For in him (Jesus) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible:…all things have been created through him and for him.
***********************************
O Heavenly Father, you have filled this world with beauty and wonder. Open our eyes to behold your gracious hand in all your works. May we rejoice in your whole creation, and learn to serve you with gladness; for the sake of Him through whom all things were made, your Son Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
